The Iraqi-Kuwaiti War in the Iraqi and Kuwaiti Women's Novel

(A comparative study)

Abstract

The women’s novel has strived to create its own narrative system by digging into the foundations of the deep extension of the male narrative values ​​base, while adopting a new awareness that reshapes the feminine identity, towards a more effective role, based on accepting the challenge by entering the narrative game consciously and intentionally, practicing Interpretation in depth and knowledge. When the novelist writes a topic such as the subject of war, she looks at it with the awareness of the woman writer and recipient, as she sets out from a new land in which the old novel or the classic model is behind her back, because she focused on the cause of war, who stands and its outcome, not war as an event. It turns the war into a secondary event and not a main event within the novel, and what is present and main is the human and individual dimension. The classic model takes the event of war as a major component and takes the fighting as the most important idea. As for the woman, she is a complementary or marginal element in the literature of war, but she became in the novels of Iraqi writers the center of the event, so the man is no longer the most important element in war novels.
